Girls in Tech Virtual Hackathon Sprint Week 2 Update

Hi Girls in Tech Community,

We hope that Week #1 of our Girls in Tech Hackathon Sprint was productive and that your projects are progressing well! Please see below a few important updates from our organizing team.

Slack Channel:

  • If you haven’t done so already, please join our Slack Workspace to find teammates, resources, and more:

  • The challenges alongside other information and our submission portal for our Virtual Hackathon can be found here:

Team Formation

If you haven’t fully formed your team yet and happen to be a team lead or are part of a team that is missing integral team member skill sets, we recommend that you do the following:

  • Introduce Yourself in the Slack Channel

  • Let others know what project you and your team plan to work on and the type of support you’re looking for (i.e. UX Designers, Software Developers, Data Scientists, Project Manager, etc.)

  • Keep an eye out for Slack updates in case individuals reply to your thread and would like to join your team.

For those of you who are still seeking a team to join, please continue to post in Slack and reach out to other individuals who have indicated in the #find-teammates channel that they do not have a team. There may be a good fit with the others who are still looking for a team to join. It is also highly recommended to review the Devpost participant section to find team members through this method as not all participants joined the Slack Workspace.

Project Submission:

  • Projects can be submitted at any time before the submission deadline. When you are ready to submit your project, you can do so on our Devpost here:

Please email if you have any questions and someone on our organizing team will try to get back to you as soon as possible.
